Our History
In 2009, three entrepreneurs – Ludger Witte, Matthias Roterring and Thorsten Paul – combined their experience in metalworking and founded WiRoPa in Gescher. With just five employees and their first production hall, they laid the foundation for what today stands for: “Strong in Large Dimensions”.
• By 2013, the need for space was growing rapidly: a first hall expansion doubled the production area.
• A major milestone follows in 2014: we enter the production of oversized drums & reels and become a full-service provider in the XXL segment.
• By 2025, we have expanded our production facilities for the third time, employ around 120 skilled specialists, and operate approximately 14,000 m² of hall space equipped with cranes offering a lifting capacity of 20 tons.
To this day, our founding spirit remains unchanged: WiRoPa continues to be owner-managed, consistently invests in state-of-the-art machinery, additional production space, and qualified personnel – continuously developing new solutions for oversized steel and metal construction projects.
